In the run up to the national elections it is timely to consider the role of social policy in framing a world for young people in the UK.
'Youth & Policy' have teamed up with 'In Defence of Youth Work' to host a day at the the University of Birmingham on Tuesday 21st July (10am-4.00pm), a little over two weeks ahead of the general election. This day aims to address two significant debates relating to the youth sector:
1. The defining features and processes of youth work practice
2. The need (or not) for statutory funding of youth services
The day is being billed as a 'Practitioner Seminar' and will include the launch of 'A Manifesto for Youth'
